Absolute Aromas Cajeput £4.95
Method of Extraction:
Leaves and twigs of the tree Description: Clearing, camphoraceous, penetrating, pale yellow-green Suggested uses: Cajeput is a useful addition to steam inhalations to relieve symptoms of winter chills. Add six drops to a bowl of just-boiled water, cover the head with a towel and breathe normally for up to ten minutes. Cajeput is a common ingredient in pharmaceuticals and dentistry as an antiseptic. For problem skin, try 1 drop of Cajeput blended with 5ml (1 teaspoon) of Jojoba and apply twice daily (provided no skin irritation is experienced). Distilled from the leaves and twigs of a tree in the same family as Tea Tree and Niaouli, Cajeput is also strongly anti-septic and has a camphoraceous aroma. Did you know? Often used as a room spray to ward off insects and bed bugs. Specific Safety Advice: Unlike its more common relatives, it has a high Cineol content, which makes it skin-sensitising for some individuals. It should not therefore be used in the bath indiluted.
